Provisional Class

The Junior League of Hartford, Inc. is always interested in welcoming new members to our organization.

If you would like to become a member of the Junior League of Hartford, Inc., you will be asked to complete a Provisional Course with a group of other women also considering membership. The Provisional Course curriculum is designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge and experience to enter as an active member of the Junior League of Hartford. It includes training meetings, 2 organized volunteer projects, and team building exercises as well as social opportunities to get to know your fellow Provisionals.

Traditionally, we have had one Provisional Class that ran from September through the following May. However, now we are offering two entry points for membership. The Fall Classes will begin each September and the Spring Classes will start each January. Regardless of which class you start with, your provisional year will be the same number of months and will include the same training opportunities. New Members that begin in January will finish their Provisional Course the following December, with a break during the months of June, July and August.

Information Sessions

The Junior League of Hartford, Inc. hosts several information sessions each year for women interested in joining the JLH.  These sessions provide more information about the JLH, and offer the opportunity to meet both current members and other women also considering joining the JLH.  Please note that while you are not required to attend an information session to join the JLH, we strongly encourage you to consider taking advantage of this opportunity to learn more about us.  Information sessions for the September 2014 Provisional Class will be held this summer. We will update our website as these sessions are scheduled.
