New Project Development

For 90 years, the women of the Junior League of Hartford have identified needs in the Greater Hartford community and developed programs to meet these needs.

Our more than 450 members donate thousands of volunteer hours annually to
League projects and community service activities.

Currently, we are at the very beginning of a new project development cycle!

The first goal of New Project Development is to identify a project focus area, or “community impact focus area”, that meets community need, the interests of the JLH membership and the strategic goals of the JLH. From there, the JLH seeks to collaborate with other community service organizations to develop projects or programs to meet those needs.

After a year of research and input from the Junior League of Hartford (JLH) membership and the Greater Hartford community, JLH has selected its next impact area: Empowering Women and Girls to Overcome Obstacles.
