What We Do
The Junior League of Hartford is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
Since 1921, the women of the Junior League of Hartford have been raising funds, identifying needs in the greater Hartford community, and developing programs to meet those needs. Often times we collaborate with other organizations who share our vision which allows us to increase our impact in the community.
Our more than 400 members donate thousands of volunteer hours annually to League projects and other community service activities. With Hartford's poverty rate being one of the highest in the country, our current work initiative is to alleviate hunger in Hartford.
