The JLH Volunteer-a-Thon highlights what the Junior League of Hartford does best – leveraging our collective (wo)manpower to make a positive impact in our community. As part of this mission-based event, JLH members volunteer with local nonprofit organizations all over the Greater Harford area for 26.2 continuous hours while raising funds for future JLH programs and projects.

Help us reach our goal of $20,000!

Similar to a typical marathon race, our volunteer marathon raises awareness and donations from friends, family and the community! All of the money raised from the Volunteer-A-Thon will support the various JLH projects and programs we organize this year. Our current focus is Empowering Women and Girls to Overcome Obstacles. Since 2015 the league has been partnering with Junior Achievement of Southwest New England to run the Career Connections for Young Women program, whose purpose is to provide high school women with a clearer understanding of their potential and to create a powerful vision of what they can become.
